CALOUNDRA HOSPITAL AUXILIARY INC is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

The Auxiliary

The Auxiliary Management Committee is made up of 9 members including the elected positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice president. It is responsible for both Bardo’s Bazaar and Mary Rose Kay Café.

Mary Rose Kay Café has a full time manager as its only paid employee. The rest of the staff is made up of volunteers.

Bardo’s Bazaar is completely staffed by volunteers with area and shift supervisors.

Fundraising is now achieved through the operation of an op shop and café, both of which are located on the Caloundra Health Service premises.

Bardo's Bazaar

Bardo’s Bazaar is located on West Terrace, opposite the Caloundra RSL.

It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm
It provides an Op Shop retail outlet with clothes for women, men and children, bric a brac, toys, small hardware, linen, small furniture, sportswear, sports goods, kitchenware, books, DVDs, rags etc.
It also sells rags to local businesses and can pick up donations if you are unable to bring them to the shop.

Volunteers help out with sorting donations, mending, washing and ironing clothes, cutting up rags, cleaning jewellery, cutting material for sale.

Mary Rose Kay Café

Mary Rose Kay Café

The Mary Rose Kay Café services the hospital and local community. It has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and provides a modern welcoming place to get your refreshments while at the hospital.

It is opens Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:00pm.

You can eat in or take away. Charging stations are available for portable devices. Catering for morning teas and lunches for meetings and conferences is also available.
